June -2008 The Near Shore bite Heats up!
June is a great month to slam many of the trophy near shore species around Los Suenos!
While the Billfish bite has slowed down in June, the Nearshore bite heats up, and our guests are enjoying some very successful days on the water with our top producing near shore Captains.
We have been seeing some very nice Roosterfish being caught, as well as Snapper, Amberjack, Trevally, and big Grouper! Live bait such as Blue runners and Sardines are the weapon of choice, and slow trolled or dropped to the bottom will usually result in a drag screaming battle with one of the many near shore species found in abundance here.
Offshore, we are still raising several big Sailfish. The Mahi-Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna bite has been great as well, and there are a lot of these fine fighting and eating fish being caught by our guests.
The Near shore bite stays hot all the way through July & August and we expect to see a lot more really nice fish get caught over the next 3 months.
