The Hooked on Costa Rica Boats stay on top of the Hottest bite in Costa Rica out of Los Suenos Resort & Marina!!
Wow! what a great few months it's been here in the Fishing Capital of Costa Rica. While other parts of Costa Rica are having decent catches, The bite here out of Los Sueno continues to be the hottest in the country, and our boats have been producing very impressive numbers of fish.
Here are the reports from 7 of our boats that fished today, March 17, 2008.We had 4 boats still out when we left the dock this evening, but heard from several of our other Captains that they too were all over the fish!
Todays Hooked On Costa Rica High Hook Honors go to Capt. Dahvid and crew aboard our 36' Topaz, "Barbarrosa"with an amazing 24 trophy Sailfish caught and released out of 30 bites! Phenominal Job!
Sailfish- 10 for 18 on Sails, 2 Mahi-Mahi 35plus lbs.- 450lb. Blue Marlin yesterday!
Macushla -12 for 16 on Sails-1 Mahi 44lbs.
Tres Amigos - 13 for 18 on Sails
Barbarossa - 24 for 30 on Sails(Incredible!)
Hoo's Your Daddy- 9 for 15 on Sails-2 Mahi over 30lbs
Noble Lady - 8 for 14 on Sails -2 Mahi over 40lbs.-1 Mahi 51lbs.!
Fandango - 7 for 13 on Sails - 2 Yellowfin Tuna
The bite continues to get better and better as the weeks pass and it has been a stellar season to date. While the calender states that peak season here traditionally runs January through April, all the signs are in place that lead us to beleive we will be catching strong numbers of fish through the end of June!
